Communications Officer (12mths FTC), Swindon, to 29,000+bonus and benefits
This is a key role supporting and working with the transition team to ensure that employees and all other stakeholders are fully informed of the implementation, changes and any implications it may have for them. This will be achieved by developing and leading a series of specific communications activities with the Change Managers and Transition team, linked to key milestones in the implementation.
Essential skills, experience and education for this role;
Understanding of communications in the context of change programmes
Knowledge and understanding of the application of different communications channels
Production of content for a number of media, e.g. print, on-line, presentations, etc
Proven writing / sub editing experience
Experience of working in communications / marketing or PR
Understanding of application of external and internal communications
Excellent inter-personal skills at all levels of the organisation
Excellent written, sub editing and proof reading skills
Good negotiation skills
Working well under pressure and rising to the challenge of meeting deadlines
Communicating complex messages to wide variety of audiences
General PC skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Office packages (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Project) e-mail and use of the internet are a prerequisite of the post
Ideally you will have a minimum 2 years communications/marketing experience within a large, complex environment and/or for a technology implementation project. Experience of communications within change management is ideal.
