Community Systems (Part of Tom Boo Group) is a government funded training provider with over 18 years experience of delivering high quality results in the world of employment training, qualifications and guidance.
Due to expansion in the South East we are seeking ESOL/Basic Skills Trainers in our Southampton Training Centre to deliver adult literacy/numeracy curriculum from Entry 1 to Level 2.
The main purpose of the roles are to provide training to adults within the context of developing employability skills for clients who need ESOL and for adults who need basic skills in order for them to achieve a recognised qualification (or units of accreditation).
A Basic Skills or ESOL training qualification would be an advantage as well as previous experience of working in ESOL/EFL or of working with the long term unemployed/refugees/asylum seekers is an advantage, as is a 7407 and subject specification qualification. In addition, the ideal candidate will have, or be working towards a DTELLS Diploma in Teaching ESOL in the Lifelong Learning Sector (+ subject specialisation), in preparation for 2010 industry requirements
The post holder will be expected to work towards the achievement of organisational targets determined by the requirements of our external contracts.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and delivery of training to adult clients as well as awareness of the workings of the UK job market.
Potential candidates must also have a friendly personality and the ability to communicate well with learners of all levels and ethnic backgrounds.
You must also have a formal qualification in teaching English as a 2nd language.
