Waiting staff are accountable for the good care and serving of all food and beverages in the restaurant, room service and throughout the hotel.
Responsibilities and duties:
Maintain a high level of service for all guests.
Maintain a good level of food and beverage product knowledge in order to provide the best service.
Ensure that all food entering the dining room correspond to the orders placed.
Ensure that you are briefed on all up and coming functions to ensure correct serving of food & wines.
Ensure correct recording of all transactions.
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are being kept in the service and storage areas.
Attend work punctually and arrive in the correct uniform.
Performance of all duties associated with restaurant service to include bar service, wine service and room service.
Maintain service standards and procedures as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual.
Ensure all cash handling procedures are maintained.
Ensure all possible control measures are in place to deter cash or stock losses.
Report any complaints from customers to your manager or supervisor immediately.
Dealing with enquiries from potential customers, whether in person or over the telephone.
Report any accidents that occur, no matter how minor to you supervisor or your manager.
Perform any other duties as directed by Management.
To attend all statutory Fire, Health and Safety and other training as required by the hotel management.
