This is a really great guitar that I had wanted my whole life but now I've got a huge tax bill and this is the most valuable asset I have. Its got loads of sustain, theres a few nicks and knocks but its in good condition and they cost 999.99 in the shops so its a bargain!

The arrival of the Gibson Les Paul Studio in 1983 offered guitarists all the essential elements of a Les Paul Standard, including a carved top and humbucking pickups, in a simple yet elegant design. The Gibson Les Paul Studio quickly became the most popular model in the Gibson Les Paul Series. Cutting-yet-rich tone -- the hallmark of the LP -- pours out of the 490R and 498T alnico magnet humbucker pickups mounted on a carved maple top with a mahogany back. Rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays makes for great looks while dual volume and tone controls provide complete command of your sound. Includes Gibson hardshell case.
The Gibson Les Paul Studio has 490R and 498T humbuckers. The 490R pickups feature tonal characteristics similar to the Gibson Les Paul '57 Classic, but deliver a slight increase in the upper mids, for a more contemporary humbucking sound. The special Alnico II magnet gives these beauties a singing quality that delivers on demand. Put a slightly hotter Alnico V magnet into a specially wound coil combination, and you get the 498T "Hot Alnico." With its higher output and emphasis on mid-ranges and highs, the 498T is the perfect rock pickup. These pickups come with chrome covers. The 498T comes with four conductor shielded wiring for series/parallel/split coil variations.
