We need a Human Resources Officer / HR Assistant to work on a temporary 6 month contract. Based in Portsmouth, this exciting opportunity will see you join a busy HR team providing a professional and customer focused HR service in a fast paced environment.

The HR Officer is essential to the smooth running of the Human Resources department. Reporting to the HR Manager you will support performance management, offer guidance to managers and ensure consistency across the business. In more detail your role will include the following:
Providing advice and proposing solutions for managers covering employment issues (attendance management, terms and conditions etc.)
Playing an active part in the disciplinary, capability and grievance process including assisting in investigations and recommending appropriate action.
This role would suit an experienced CIPD qualified HR professional with up to date knowledge of employment law and the ability to communicate changes and updates effectively. This is a demanding role that also requires strong administration, communication and organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
