Grain Store Operatives Required

Langmead Farms is a successful international producer of salad and vegetables with operations in both the UK and Spain. We also have an extensive arable operation in Chichester.
We currently have vacancies for four grain store operatives. The roles will commence on 24th July 2009, initially for short term contracts of six weeks but with potential for longer term work for the right candidates.
The role will involve taking day to day responsibility for the grain store allocated to you and ensuring that it operates effectively and safely.
Duties will include:
- Assessing and testing grain for moisture content
- Ensuring effective drying of grain where required
- Co-ordinating the delivery, flow through and storage of grain
- Maintaining bins, scales, dryer and grain handling system
You should be confident on tractors and telehandlers, but we can assist with training. Previous experience of grain carting and knowledge of vehicle safety desirable.
Salary is 7 per hour, 10.50 per hour overtime. We can also assist with accommodation
