We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated people to assist in promoting our charity snack box within the Oxfordshire area during the Summer months of 2009.

Our snack box assists in raising funds to support the National Blind Childrens Society by means of placing charity snack boxes into work places, schools, businesses, etc. A percentage of sales from the snacks sold in the workplace is donated to the NBCC and to date the snackbox has already raised over 300,000 for the charity on a nationwide basis.

Canvassers will simply be required to visit businesses in the area (list of leads provided), presenting our snack box and asking if they would be willing to accept one for their staff to use. The work we are offering involves no hard sell. The presentation is straight-forward and brief and each presentation should take no more than five minutes.

The work would ideally suit a student, semi-retired person or indeed any other person who has between 2-20 spare hours available per week (during office hours - between 9am and 4pm Mon-Fri, exact hours arranged to suit) and is looking to earn extra money while at the same time helping a worthy cause. Canvassers must have their own motor vehicle for travelling to sites (use of a sat-navigation unit would be an advantage, but maps of areas can be provided). Canvassers should be well mannered, well presented and be comfortable with meeting and communicating with new people. Experience in sales, canvassing or marketing would be preferable, but is not essential as this truly is work that any self-motivated person, with an enthusiasm, drive and ability to communicate effectively, would be able to do.

Canvassers will be paid a set fee of 5 for each snack box successfully sited. The exact amount earned is dependant on the canvassers personal effort and motivation. Realistically, a canvasser would normally visit an average of 7-8 businesses per hour (we try to ensure that all leads are close together to minimise travelling time and therefore maximise on earnings potential). A 1-in-3 success rate would be considered normal. As such a canvasser could expect to earn upwards of 12 per hour (considerably higher earnings would be commonplace when canvassing in areas where businesses are located close together i.e. business parks, etc). Canvassers will be paid weekly in arrears for all boxes sited.

The work is being offered initially on a casual temporary basis and we presently have work available during May/June 2009. However, this is an ongoing project and regular casual work could be available beyond this period to anyone who proves to be suitable. This is a genuine opportunity being offered by a local franchise working on behalf of a nationally recognised organisation.

Should you be interested in assisting to promote our charity snack box please contact us providing details of any relevant experience or attach CV.
