Located near Abingdon, we specialise in the design, testing, certification and supply of packaging.
We are potentially looking for an additional Licensing / Project Engineer. The ideal candidate should be a qualified and experienced engineer, educated to HNC or degree in engineering, having had direct involvement in small and large projects.
One of the anticipated main functions of this person will be to gather data for and prepare safety cases on the suitability of the packaging for use in the planned transport of radioactive materials. The safety case is then submitted for the approval of the regulator which in the UK is the Department for Transport. Experience in any of the following is likely to be an advantage: the nuclear industry, preparation of engineering assessments, preparation of safety documentation for approval by regulators.
