We have a double bedroom available from 1st August 2009 for one calendar year in our 4 bedroom house in St Clements.
We are 2 PhD students (biomedical sciences) and 1 medical student. The room has become available because our friend has finished his degree.
The house has 4 double bedrooms (pretty evenly sized), power shower, kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, car parking spaces that can be rented from the council, a garden with bbq, and is located on a side road off St Clements (Harpsichord Place, OX4 1BX). We also have a double sofa bed in the living room, which is very useful for when friends come to visit. We rent direct from our lovely landlady. The monthly rent is 295 each and bills come to around 60 per month (gas, electric, phone, internet, cleaner).
St Clements is very close to the busy Cowley Road area, with its multitude of restaurants and shops, but without the noise and traffic. Tesco is a 10min walk away. We're within walking distance of the centre of town (approx 15mins), the JR hospital (approx 20mins), Oxford Brookes University (approx 10mins) and extremely near the bus stop for the Oxford Tube - allowing you 24hour access to London.
As we're all students we're hoping to find someone who's a student too, to avoid council tax issues. However, if you're happy to pay all the tax yourself then please get in contact.
