The Ann Burton Agency is a leading independent recruitment agency based in Northampton. We currently have a placement available for a lawyer in our client's Children's Services Team, which is based in London, E14 (nearest tube station: Blackwell DLR or Canary Wharf Underground).
We are looking for an exceptional, high quality candidate with significant, direct experience of childcare legal work including given advice, care proceedings and adoption. Knowledge of adult social services would also be useful to support the other area of work undertaken by the team.
The work will predominately be providing advice on and the conduct of cases involving children's social services issues, care proceedings and general daily advice to the client department. The successful candidate will be required to undertake advocacy as part of this role.
The successful candidate will be required to pick up and cover an existing caseload immediately.
Demonstrable experience of this area of work for at least 3 years PQE is necessary.
This placement is for approximately three months initially with a prospect of extension. Pay will be around 24.50 per hour - 35 hours per week.
