Barnfield West Academy is seeking a successful, inspirational and transformational Curriculum Leader of Food Technology to start in September.
The successful candidate will have a clear vision for the contribution that Food Teachnology can make to students achievement and the drive to make it happen. The successful applicant will be a qualified teacher and able to teach in the UK.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable children/young people within a social, educational or youth work setting and experience of working effectively with a range of professionals to
promote children/young peoples learning or welfare.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
VISION AND PURPOSE
1. To play an active role in the development of the emerging competency based curriculum providing specific curriculum expertise and guidance and leading on delivery of key aspects as they relate to subject area.
2. Be accountable for the learning and achievement of all students following programmes within the subject area whether these are within the context of the competency based curriculum or within the more general curriculum framework.
3. To liaise with Subject Team Leader colleagues at Barnfield South Academy and Barnfield College to support strategic development, share good practice and plan collaborative activities.
4. To ensure that the federation of Barnfield West Academy, Barnfield South Academy and Barnfield College is always presented positively within and beyond the Academy.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Participating in the Academys arrangements for performance management, professional development and the Academys arrangements for quality assurance and internal verification.
