An outstanding school in Newham is looking for a Year 6 Primary Teacher for two terms to start in September 2009. This large Primary School which also has fantastic nursery facilities and an excellent SEN unit has an extremely progressive and supportive leadership team.
The successful applicant will be required to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning to ensure pupils' individual targets are met as well as the targets of the school. We are looking for a Primary Teacher who can deliver insightful and exciting lessons in both core and foundation subjects, teaching them how to benefit from an ever changing and technological world. The successful applicant will also need to plan in advance and be able to come up with new and interesting ideas for lessons.
The ideal teacher for this role will:
- Have QTS or an overseas equivalent qualification
- Have knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Be well organised with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
- Have great organisation and time management skills
Experience teaching in schools in the UK is an advantage but not essential.
