I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is keen to build on the skills and experiences already acquired from my degree course and from 4 years of work experience in both a Private Quantity Surveying office and with a major building contractor. I am a trustworthy and committed individual, who is comfortable working on my own or as part of a team.
I have been working in the Estimating/Quantity Surveying department of a national Building Contractor for 3 years. This role required me to be self-motivated, capable of working to tight deadlines and to interact and work with other key business functions at all levels, with the emphasis on service related activities to meet delivery commitments. This experience has continually helped develop my communication skills with all levels of management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
I have been the Project QS on a number of residential, multi element improvement, commercial and healthcare projects ranging in value from 700K to 6 million both in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
In addition to this I have constantly been involved in assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor, in the preparation and submission of tenders for a range of multi million pound projects including residential, commercial, education, healthcare and industrial schemes.
I can provide the following fee based Quantity Surveying services on an agreed hourly rate:
Accurate estimating of tenders
Measurement of Quantities
Production of Pre-Construction Estimates
Bill of Quantity Production
Management of Interim Valuations/Final Accounts
Claims for variations/unforeseen costs.
Project cost planning and feasibility studies
Production of Subcontract Work Packages
Subcontractor Procurement and Management
Procurement of materials, labour and plant
In terms of location I am willing to work in any area of the UK and Ireland and can be located on the clients premises, or from my office in the Northern Ireland.
