Yamaha Education Suite is built in to provide graded lessons with a talking feature that provides lessons for each hand independently then both hands together.
A built in chord dictionary shows you on screen how each chord is played.
The metronome function allows the beat to be set to any time signature to assist in keep in time and the tempo is fully controllable to slow things down while you are learning.
There are 100 instrument voices available including Yamahas legendary Portable Grand recorded from an actual grand piano and sounds beautiful.
The 100 built in songs can have the melody switched on or off allowing you to practice and learn the song or to play it yourself.
100 backing rhythm styles are available to accompany your playing, covering modern styles like house and techno as well as more traditional styles of music.
Songs and rhythms functions are available from their own set of controls allowing you to easily select pause, start/stop, rewind, fast forward and intro/exit as required.
A DJ function is also provided that gives access to a range of samples, scratches and riffs to allow improvisation, together with a set of four multi pads that provide a selection of fills depending on the style and chord being played.
The large central LCD screen gives access to all menu and settings options and shows the notes played in the form of a keyboard layout and as a dual stave. It also shows the chord being played, the tempo and instrument voice being used.
Altogether its a great machine giving amazing full stereo sound with bass boost.
