My client is part of a leading global organisation within the construction industry and has a healthy annual turnover of 1.6billion. They undertake extensive PFI / Framework projects alongside Design & Build, interior fit-outs and refurbishment contracts within the local authorities,commercial, industrial & retail sectors.
Their Leicester office covers the East Midlands region and at present has projects in Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough and Daventry. Although the client is part of a very large organisation they provide and encourage a very motivating and enjoyable atmosphere to work in and proactively market themselves as a regional contractor. They pride themselves on a portfolio on high profile clients focusing on strong relationships and repeat business, these include: Local Authorities, Universities, Rolls Royce, Highbridge and Barclays Banks with typical project values ranging from 1m - 15m. There is currently a requirement for Senior Quantity Surveyor.
The role will include:
Implementation and management of procurement strategy including sub-contract orders as well as management of all commercial aspects of the construction works through to final accounts.
You will be managing a team of 2-3 Quantity Surveyors working closely with the Project Surveyor and his team on all programme, design and construction aspects.
The Individual:
Must have Procure 21 experience
Have extensive Main contracting experience within the building sector.
Essentially have Design & Build experience.
Be an effective communicator; level headed and a good team player.
Have an organised and systematic approach and be able to liaise effectively with site operational teams.
