We are looking to recruit a long term LGV 2/Class 2 home delivery driver to work out of our clients depot in Thurrock. Currently the depot requires one permanent driver, however due to a recruitment ban this position is for a long term temporary driver, with the possibility of becoming permanent in due course when the ban is lifted.
Working in a 2-man crew delivering flat pack products and other items for a major home retail company from the heart of Thurrock, lots of heavy lifting involved..
Your routes will take you through Central London, Essex & the surrounding areas. Deliveries are to customers homes and business premises.
Start times are 06.00am to finish, working Tuesday through to Saturday. You will be guaranteed a 48 hour week, with overtime available and the option of working your 6th day at time and a half, around your tacho hours & WTD.
You must be fully experienced with driving Class 2 vehicles, working within parking restrictions and using Tachos - no more than 6 minor penalty points on your licence for insurance purposes.
You will be required to undergo a written test and driving assessment as part of the interview process.
