My client is a very well known Suffolk Hotel located not too far from the town of Newmarket and with a very busy wedding business. They have just less that 100 bedrooms and are looking for a Head Receptionist to join their team and help to drive the business forward.
Job Description
As Head Receptionist you will be responsible for the customer service and Front Office teams. Making sure that Guests are checked in and out correctly and that the rooms are allocated in the most business effective way.
You will also work closely with the Night team to make sure that consistent service is given throughout. It is imperative that for this role you have reception experience from a 4* environment and ideally from a hotel with less that 100 bedrooms so that you have experience of the intimate and cosy environment that this hotel has. You should also have experience in leading a small team of people and dealing with staff rotas, managing staff time off and holidays.
You should be a dedicated hospitality professional, this industry takes a lot of passion and patience and you should be prepared to work some unsocial hours and also to meet the needs of all your customers.
Salary
The starting salary for this role is between 16,000 and 18,000, depending on experience. There will also be a salary review at the end of 2009 when, if you have done well, you salary will be increased in line with your performance.
This is a role for a serious minded individual who is dedicated to their role as a receptionist and who takes customer service very seriously.
