Senior Social Worker required to join the children and families long-term team on a temporary/permanent basis with the children and families social work department. Based in a beautiful location, and with excellent amenities in a well established team with low turnover of staff, this presents as an excellent opportunity for an experienced main grade social worker looking to progress to more senior positions or an established social work practitioner looking to move their career on and make a contribution elsewhere.
POST HOLDER'S DUTIES:
To carry a caseload of child care cases of children in care and, or statutory orders.
To work with case in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Children's Services strategy and the principles of the Children Act.
To manage caseloads effectively.
To prepare reports for courts or other purposes are required.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a DipSW or equivalent.
Must be registered with the GSCC.
Must have good knowledge of all relevant legislation.
Statutory placement experience would be an advantage.
Candidates must hold a current/valid UK driving license.
