An experienced Operations Manager from the FREIGHT FORWARDING / INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING-Logistics industry is required by large reputable Global Logistics Provider based in Essex.
You will be responsible for all aspects of international import and export shipping via all modes of transport, Airfreight, Seafreight and Roadfreight.
You day to day duties will be to oversee the operations team, motivate, train and manage all operations functions, key account management, supplier management, quotations, rate gathering, consolidations, projects, commercial freight transport and warehousing, airline and shipping line management, completion of bookings, accounts, liaison with overseas agents/partners and assistance with senior management incorporating business development.
Salary 30-40k depending on level of Freight Forwarding Experience. It is essential that you have worked in the Shipping/Logistics industry before for an actual global operator with a large operations team.
