They need a committed, flexible person to look after the full cycle of the care operation from recruiting, training and supervising staff to leading on service improvements, analysing performance and keeping an eye on health, safety and comfort.
You'll inspire and support your team, deal with medication issues, monitor incidents and manage budgets. Most importantly, you'll remember that the residents always come first so you will undertake assessments, review individual service plans and ensure that the needs of the community are always met.
You'll be an RGN with experience of elderly care and some management experience. Naturally, an adaptable approach to the role will be helpful as you will be dealing with emergencies and off duty situations. You will also need good communications and IT skills, and above all, a caring, compassionate approach with a commitment to high standards.
