Are you a Support Worker in Derby and Derbyshire with experience of working with Adults with learning disabilities including autism? If so then look no further. Hays Social Care have a job for a support worker with relevant learning disability experience to work in a exceptional service based in Derby. This support worker job in derby will be on a sessional basis but the client expects that longer term work will be available throughout the summer period.
Your role will be to support up to ten adult residents with learning disabilities and autism. As well as providing personal care you will be responsible for the well being and support plans for the service users. You will be working in a first class environment which boasts as good a environment for staff as it does for the service users.
Hays Social Care are looking for candidates who are seeking temporary opportunities. You may be called upon to cover long term sickness or the occasional shift. There may also be temp to perm opportunities for exceptional candidates.
> Providing personal care to adults with autism and learning disabilities
> Working to care/support plans and having involvement in the development of service users
> Involved in activities with service users both on and off site
> Taking residents to meetings including GP and hospital appointments
> Assisting with meal times and food preparation
> Liaising with other organisations and some involvement in signposting
Shifts available include: Earlies, Days, Lates and Nights
