Sidney Stringer School is a well-established city centre school, which has long enjoyed popularity for its commitment to meeting the needs of a very diverse population of all students.
The school wish to appoint, for September 2009, an enthusiastic Teacher of Business Studies to join this specialist Mathematics and Computing school. Business Education is a popular and oversubscribed subject in the school reflecting its success at Key Stages 4 and 5. The school jointly deliver a Diploma in Business, in partnership with the City College and within the North West Federation of Coventry. The successful applicant will be keen to teach at all key stages and at AS/A2 including BTEC, GCSE, A-Level and GNVQ Business Studies.
Applications from suitably qualified and experienced teachers including NQTs are welcomed. Appointment will be made from 1st July for NQTs.
Accommodation for Business Education is of a very high standard and has been recently extended to allow for four dedicated teaching areas, all fully equipped with desk top computers and interactive whiteboards.
The person appointed will be expected to be a very effective classroom practitioner with evidence of high standards.
Professional development of all staff is a priority (as it is for the school) and each member of staff has a laptop.
