ASP Web Developer required for fast growing Warwick based media company offering a structured career path and regular training and career reviews. The role will involve the following tasks:-
To program front and back end additional functionality
Help maintain and upgrade existing website code: custom e-commerce software written in ASP Jscript. To have the ability to work with and improve/extend existing code in an efficient manner given current conventions and shared code libraries available.
To work cooperatively with outsourced development team to be able to review and merge new code from source control to the working trunk.
To be responsible for integrating newly designed features or complete pages from the graphic designer, delivered in XHTML/CSS/graphics, and create ASP code to produce the dynamic functionality required.
To design and develop new areas of functionality including such tasks as data integration with other web partners through (order/product) import and exports, integrate with third party payment processors, create additional back office reporting features, improve customer experience by customising product interaction possibilities and checkout flow. To be responsible for both database and application layers.
To be able to troubleshoot and resolve browser specific display or scripting bugs
To identify code or conventions that could be improved with greater efficiency or stability while performing everyday tasks
