We are currently seeking a Project Manager on a contract basis to work with a local authority and manage transport, drainage and planning engineering services within the scope of Envelopment and Planning for the City Council.
The role will involve taking project and financial management to landscaping and environmental schemes, often incorporating highways. You will ensure that all environmental projects managed and carried out on behalf of the Council are designed and completed to the highest possible standard and within the agreed timetable and budgets. You will also manage the investigation, design and implementation of projects associated with Section 106 obligations, especially those related to open spaces and streetscape enhancements.
Candidates wishing to apply for this position will need to be degree qualified in a relevant subject, and able to demonstrate a track record of leading and managing projects including preparing monthly project planning schedules to deliver within budget and on time. Project experience will need to include Civil/Highways and infrastructure projects, preferably within a local authority environment. Knowledge of Section 106 agreements and obligations is also desired.
This position is expected to last approximately 3 months, and will pay 20 p/h PAYE, or 24 Ltd company.
