Position Description

Caffe Ritazza and Upper Crust are thriving retail catering units based at Bristol Parkway station. We are looking for an experienced Unit Manager to run these busy, high turnover outlets, where no two days are ever alike. You will have complete control of P&L and full responsibility for managing the team, whilst offering the very best in customer service.

Reporting to the Operations Manager for the region, this is very hands-on role, and the majority of the time you will work independently, so need to be prepared to handle whatever challenges come your way.

You will be able to maximise the opportunity to develop your skills from managing and motivating the team, placing stock orders, taking deliveries and having a real impact on every aspect of running the site.
You will be working for the travel sectors world-leading foodservice business, so you will have the security that learning and development opportunities are available if you want to take your skills to the next level

Required Experience

You should ideally have experience in a busy, branded coffee retail environment and be used to working varied hours, with some early starts. The huge variation in shift hours means this role would best suit someone who lives locally - so you can improve other people's travels without spending too much time commuting yourself. More than anything, you should want to offer great customer service, appreciating the impact this has on the local business.

Every day is different here, so there's no time to ever get bored. By the time you have managed the rush hour, prepared some more ciabattas, restocked the displays, carried out some Health and Safety checks, reviewed the sales, held a staff meeting etc., the day will almost be over.

Your experience should include having accountability for the financial performance, quality of service, maintenance of set brand standards and development of the team within your unit.
