We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join our Bristol based insurance company.
Role:
To proactively identify and advise on regulatory and other obligations directly or indirectly applicable to current and new company activities
To ensure all regulatory reporting is submitted accurately and within the set timescales
To advise, assist, train and coach other departments and colleagues in their compliance related responsibilities, proactively identifying and resolving issues
To implement and monitor compliance programmes and initiate remedial action demonstrating and evidencing compliance to the company Audit Committee, the relevant regulator and other appropriate agencies.
To act as a liaison or reference point in communications on compliance matters with customers, business partners and the relevant regulator
You should have the ability to actively apply fairness principles in to the day-to-day role. You should meet agreed short-term and long-term objectives on time and to the required standard and have the ability to plan, research, implement compliance projects logically and keep accurate, accessible and effective records.
You should have previous experience working in a compliance environment.
Salary circa 25,000 per annum
