A prestigious company based within the Southampton area is looking to recruit a Motor Underwriter to join their friendly team
You will be required to contribute to the profitable development and maximise the performance of the companys motor account by recommending changes to underwriting rules and documentation, ensuring that rates and underwriting rules are accurately updated on computer systems, both internally and externally and evaluation of new scheme, affinity and product propositions. You will be assisting internal and external customers with technical advice and support the Senior Motor Underwriter and department management, as appropriate.
The successful individual will have a sound understanding of underwriting principles and a wide range of technical issues, including the construction of policy wordings. You must have awareness of the market and legal/industry developments and previous in depth background in a motor underwriting environment is essential. You will be proactive and innovative with exceptional communication skills

Salary: 26,000 to 35,000 DOE
