We are seekingfor an experienced Teaching Assistant that has the relevant experience.
Thisjob is within a mediumMainstream Secondary School, and being a teaching assistant you will be supporting pupilsaged 11-18 years oldin groups or on an individual basis.
The ideal candidate must be a positive, enthusiastic and pro-activeindividual who can be a role model for children frommulti-culturalbackgrounds.
As a teaching assistant, you would be assisting the teacher in a class room,supporting pupils of all ability who needs help to overcome difficulties that are hindering their learning. Issues such as:
- learning difficulties
- behavioural or emotional difficulties
- lack of self confidence, self-esteem or motivation
- difficulties settling in a school
- Special Educational Needs Your duties as a Teaching Assistant would be to:
- Support the students' academic needs
- Assist the teacher with classroom management
- Literacy and Numeracy Support This candidate must have:
- A current CRB
- NVQ Level 2+ (education related)
