I am an education recruitment Consultant specialising in placing teachers and assessors of construction courses into Further Education Colleges. I am currently recruiting for this position on behalf of one of my clients.
My client is a Further Education College with an excellent reputation, modern facilities and excellent resources. Due to continued growth and success the construction department is recruiting extra full time and permanent staff to deliver its most popular courses.

To be eligible for this job you will be a highly experienced Bricklayer and live in the Birmingham area with a real passion for your trade. You will have excellent knowledge of the construction industry and you must have Advanced Craft or NVQ 3 in order to teach.
Another advantage of teaching in this sector is the opportunity to advance your training and development, if you have not already completed some teaching/assessing qualifications you will have the opportunity and support to become a fully fledged lecturer/Assessor/Verifier.
Previous teaching experience is not essential (although it would be advantageous) as full training will be provided. However if you are not already experienced and qualified you must display a desire to enter into this profession and be dedicated to professional development.
This role includes delivering City and Guilds NVQ courses to a range of learners. The department has a diverse range of students all of different ages and backgrounds, therefore excellent people skills and experience of dealing with the public on a regular basis is essential.
