Pianist Composer seeks Recording Management Help

I'm a talented pianist and keyboard player with a very distinctive and oblique technique; I'm adept at improvisation and also have a unique approach to harmony. I've been playing for fifteen years and am primarily self-taught. I've also played in various bands, composed soundtracks and provided improvised piano for silent films. It's a cliche, but it's difficult to categorise my music: I suppose it's jazz in spirit but not in execution. I'm reluctant to provide influences as they are misleading.
My ambition is to have an album of my piano music recorded professionally by the end of the year, but I'm unsure who to approach in order to make this happen. I'm also in need of management or at least guidance in order to further my career; my music falls between categories and is eclectic but by no means inaccesible and I think it deserves a fair chance to be heard by the public. It would be great to find someone who could enable this.
I'm based in Newcastle at the moment but it's a pretty small scene up here; obviously I'm willing to travel.
